Whats New: The Team Race Event Simulation evening in the Clubhouse planned for Tuesday May 6th has been cancelled.

Cumberland Cup - extra help needed.
We are still looking for a Damage Control officer for Friday 16^th of Cumberland Cup, and a Beachmaster for the Saturday and Sunday (17^th and 18^th). The former role involves bobbing around in a launch or diddy boat clutching a clipboard and noting down, as it happens so there’s no argument about it afterwards, who runs into whom with what, and what damage was done. Hopefully, you will have nothing to do all day but get a close-up view of the racing: but if there is a crash, your evidence will be vital. Click here if you are able to help.

We plan on running some RIB courses using Thames Five, and in particular are keen to widen the pool of members qualified not just to drive T5 but to take command of her for course-laying for our events. The skills required, in addition to merely driving, are a knowledge of basic navigation and how to set tidal offsets; how to run the GPS and Yeoman plotter; how to rig, lay and recover anchored marks in varying depths of water and sea states; how our own systems are set-up, worked and maintained. Click here for more information. You don't need to be a gorilla (the hydraulic winch takes care of the grunt) but you do need to be a good and sensible seaman (of any gender).
